I’m surprised to find that I like it - it feels like old school EDM, surprisingly enough, like something Paul Oakenfold might record after coming out of cryogenic suspension in the Overwatch future. I’m not really sure how to review music that’s both not in my lane and also composed by a fictional character using technology that doesn’t exist yet. ![]() But this month, alongside BlizzCon and the Lucio-Oh’s cereal that people are destroying their teeth eating (seriously guys it’s pure sugar your pancreas is screaming) we also got a complete release of that fictional character’s previously fictional album, Synaesthesia Auditiva. Being that Lucio is a fictional character in a video game, I suspect someone at Blizzard actually recorded this, but it’s been a background detail of the character for years now. ![]() What’s that? You didn’t know Lucio had an album? Neither did I until several dozen people pointed me to this link, which takes you to a complete album’s worth of music by Lucio. It kind of reminds me of what we thought the future would sound like back in the 90’s. As I type this, I’m listening to Lucio’s album and I gotta be honest with you - it’s not my thing, but it’s not bad.
